Dual-voltage operation lets the MP250i run on a dedicated 120V circuit for lighter projects or 240V power for its full 250-amp output. A heavy-duty wire-feed system accepts 8-inch and 12-inch spools weighing up to 44 pounds, making the machine well suited for longer fabrication jobs.

Separate MIG and TIG gas systems allow both processes to remain connected, reducing setup time when switching between welding methods. The included WP17 TIG torch and foot pedal provide precise amperage control, while high-frequency starting establishes the TIG arc without touching the tungsten to the workpiece.

The integrated rolling cart includes storage for two gas cylinders and side-mounted cable hangers for a more organized workspace. With a 60% duty cycle at 250 amps, optional spool-gun compatibility, and a complete accessory package, the MP250i is built for restoration, repair, maintenance, and professional fabrication.

Specifications

A dedicated 120V, 20-amp circuit or 240V, 50-amp circuit is required. Full 250-amp performance is available only when connected to suitable 240V power.

Welding Capacity

The MP250i provides DC TIG, not AC TIG. It is designed to TIG-weld steel and stainless steel but should not be advertised for conventional TIG welding of aluminum. Aluminum MIG welding requires the optional Eastwood spool gun and 100% argon shielding gas.

Actual welding capacity varies based on input voltage, material, joint design, wire or electrode size, filler metal, shielding gas, welding position, and operator technique.

Shielding-gas cylinders and the aluminum spool gun are not included. The product ships in two boxes and requires assembly of the cart and cylinder-storage components.

Manufacturer’s Warranty

The Eastwood Elite MP250i is backed by a three-year limited manufacturer’s warranty covering qualifying defects in materials and workmanship from the original delivery date.

Consumables are not covered unless Eastwood determines they were defective. The warranty excludes damage caused by abuse, neglect, improper installation, improper care, inadequate maintenance, or abnormal operation.

Proof of purchase is required. Customers must contact Eastwood and obtain a return authorization before sending equipment for warranty evaluation. Eastwood will determine whether an approved claim is resolved through repair or replacement, and the purchaser may be responsible for shipping costs to and from Eastwood.
